Dr. Frank Guyette was recently voted as one of our nation's top 10 EMS innovators in 2008.  Dr. Guyette is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and serves as Associate Director for STAT MedEvac, a regional air-medical prehospital service.  Dr. Guyette's selection was based on his research and initiatives that seek to improve care in the prehospital, air-medical setting.  His research focuses on identificaiton of early shock, airway management, non-invasive monitoring, and provider health and safety.  Dr. Guyette has received multiple grants from non-profit foundations and the federal government.  There is no question that Dr. Guyette has been and will continue to be an innovator and valued asset to the EMS community. See the following link for more on Dr. Guyette and the other 9 EMS Innovators for 2008:
